Aceleron named BGF 10 Green Tech to Watch: Rising firms that protect the environment.
We are thrilled to feature on BGF’s inaugural 10 Green Tech companies to watch listed in the Sunday Times Tech Track last week. We were chosen amongst a cross section of privately-owned UK companies that are developing technologies that mitigate or reverse the effects of human activity on the environment. What a testament to our serviceable, upgradable and recyclable lithium-ion batteries that are providing access to clean energy around the world.
This is the first year that there has been a watchlist focused on companies growing a greener tomorrow. On the back of the British government target of zero greenhouse gas emissions in 2019, it is clearer than ever that businesses need to adapt accordingly and shoulder these responsibilities for the good of the environment and the green transition.
Joe Kempton reporter at Sunday Times Fast Track writes “Co-founders Carlton Cummins and Amrit Chandan, represent a new generation of entrepreneurs, combining a commitment to ethical enterprise with latest technical skills.”
It’s a pleasure to be supported by BGF as we continue our scale up mission to accelerate the global shift to cleaner, more renewable energy.
“As we come out of the Covid-19 crisis, a radical shift to new sectors of the economy is now going to occur much faster. Top of the list is the environment. Turning net-zero emission pledges into reality is a huge opportunity for investors, but it requires significant capital. BGF plans to increase investment into sustainable businesses from 5% today to up to 20% in the next 18 months. The 10 Green Tech to Watch is a great platform to showcase promising companies in this space.”
